Louise Rogers Jewett (January 27, 1869 – January 21, 1914) was an artist, author, and college professor born on January 27, 1869, in Moravia, Cayuga County, New York. She was the daughter of Dr. Charles Carroll Jewett and Ellen Elizabeth Ransom Jewett. Her family included siblings Gertrude E. Jewett Hunt, Sophia "Sophie" Jewett (a noted professor of English literature at Wellesley College), and Dr. Charles Sherman Jewett.

Growing up, Louise was educated locally in private schools and at the Buffalo Seminary. Pursuing her passion for art, she studied at the Yale School of Fine Arts and traveled to Paris to study at the Académie Julian under instructors such as Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant and Henri-Gabriel Ibels. She achieved distinction internationally, with her artwork exhibited and hung in the Paris Salon. After returning to the United States, she opened a studio in Boston in 1894 before moving on to teach art in Pennsylvania and at Dana Hall in Wellesley.

In 1901, she began her long-standing association with Mount Holyoke College as a faculty member in the art department. She became the head of the art department in 1912, succeeding Louise Fitz-Randolph. In addition to her teaching career, she wrote Masterpieces of Painting, Their Qualities and Meanings: An Introductory Study, published in 1906, and edited the poetry of her late sister, Sophie Jewett. She was also recognized as a member of the Copley Society in Boston and the Archaeological Institute of America, as well as for designing the festival pageant for Mount Holyoke College's 75th anniversary.

Louise Rogers Jewett passed away suddenly from heart failure on January 21, 1914, at the age of 44 in South Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. Following her passing, she was laid to rest at the Indian Mound Cemetery in Moravia, New York.
